    • Installation Notes
    1. After downloading open a shell and, cd to the directory where you downloaded the installer. At the prompt type: sh ./Install_JOA_4_0_LINUX_NoVM.bin
    Requirements
    1. You need to install a Java 1.4.2 (or later) virtual machine. You can download one from Sun's Java web site or contact your OS manufacturer.
    About Etopo-5 Add-ins
    • If you would like to add the higher-resolution ETOPO-5 files download any or all of these files and unzip them into the JOA_Support folder/subdirectory on your computer.
    • Java OceanAtlas contains ETOPO-60 and ETOPO-20 files.
    • These are binary files extracted from ETOPO-5 with bathymetry and elevations at 5-minute spatial resolution.
