Laboratory electronics

Reflection recording and display

·         A2D Seismic Acquisition System - This is a Sun Sparc 10 based recording system developed by the Hawaii Institute of Geophysics, in service with SGG since 1992.

·         EPC 9800 Thermal Graphic Recorders - for real-time hardcopy data display

·         Krohn-Hite analog filters - anti-aliasing filters

·         Trig-Tek Seven Channel Amplifier

Seismic event control

·         Real Time Microsystems SureShot - This seismic source controller can synchronize up to 8 guns with 0.1 msec resolution while providing a graphic display of all gun signatures. The system also provides real-time alarms for out-of-timing errors, autofire detection, and bubble detection for use with the GI gun.

Sonobuoy equipment

·         ICOM IC-2000 2m-band transceiver - STS modified to pass the important low-frequency component of the sonobuoy signal.

·         Heathkit receivers - a set of ten receivers, for use with multiple live sonobuoys. Old, but still functional.
